Sustainability Contract Won: Dept of Defence

Nuvo Group’s Sustainability team and Defence team has joined forces to win another contract with the Department of Defence. The work is commencing immediately with our project team mobilised on site next week. This brings Nuvo’s win rate to 6 from 6 defence tenders won this calendar year.
The multimillion dollar contract is part of the Department of Defence’s National Ecologically Sustainable Development (ESD) Program.

Nuvo has been awarded the contract in partnership with Broadspectrum (formerly known as Transfield) to deliver the solutions to multiple sites in Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales.

Importantly, the work contract requires a high level of documented measurement and verification information to confirm the actual energy savings post installation. This will be used to confirm the commercial return on investment of these initiatives.

The program will deliver a broad range of energy and water saving initiatives that can be retrofitted to defence sites to reduce utility costs i.e. power and water bills.

Some elements of the package:

  • Solar Photovoltaic Arrays (Victoria Barracks)
  • Energy efficient LED lighting (NSW, SA and VIC multiple sites)
  • Presence detection lighting sensors (multiple sites)
  • Higher star-rated energy efficient equipment (Puckapunyal)
  • Utilisation of BMS to monitor power consumption (multiple sites)
  • BMS upgrade (multiple sites)
  • Variable speed drives (Victorial Barracks)

Nuvo delivers energy efficiency solutions that pay for themselves with reduced energy bills. We audit, design, deliver and maintain our installations at your site. Find out how by giving our office a call 90013000
